This document describes a harmonic analysis model aimed at simplification and practical application, particularly in the context of jazz and modern improvisation. The system is based on the reduction of all diatonic harmonic functions to a binary structure, governed by two archetypal sound poles: the Ionian (Major) sound for rest and the Lydian sound for tension.
The chords built on the seven degrees of the major scale are grouped into two functional macro-categories:
Each functional group is associated with a single representative "sound," which serves as a model for the entire group.

This analyzer doesn't just label chords; it interprets their harmonic function based on an evolved model. It recognizes large musical "patterns" (Blues, Rhythm Changes, Turnarounds) and assigns a sound "archetype" to each chord, showing how this archetype changes its "texture" (from Lydian to Melodic Minor, Diminished, etc.) based on the context, just like an expert musician would think.
